One of Elgar's early works, featuring his uniquely nostalgic style, this work has become a staple of the string orchestra repertoire, and is the title track of our CD.
"Albinoni's Adagio", although composed by Remo Giazotto, is a work of great beauty and notoriety. It is performed here with Peta Dries (violin) and Peter Guy (organ).
Composed for the Newcastle Maritime Festival in 2011 by our own David Banney, Whale Song is scored for two violin soloists, string orchestra and didgeridoo (Perry Fuller).
