Fresh Take on Mozart's Requiem

Christ Church Camerata will rewrite history on Sunday by performing a new ending to Mozart's deathbed piece, Requiem in D minor.
Composer and director David Banney and an all-star cast of soloists are bringing Mozart's ethereal harmonies to Newcastle's Christ Church Cathedral for the first time in two decades in what will be the chamber orchestra's final concert of the year.

Music Festival Line-Up Hits the Right Note

The eighth annual Newcastle Music Festival starts this Sunday, August 3, and spans the two following weekends.
​
The musical experiences on offer include popular classics, masterfully performed string quartets, choral experiences with organ accompaniments, a glamorous opera affair by the shores of Fullerton Cove, jazz, solo piano and violin, before culminating in Vivaldi's Four Seasons on Sunday, August 17.
